The Bottom Line at a Drug Treatment Center

Saturday, June 30th, 2007

Drug treatment center programs are as diverse as drug addicts themselves. You’ve made it this far, so you probably know how it is: run “drug treatment center” through any search engine and you get an endless list of possibilities, drug treatment center after drug treatment center claiming to offer “the” solution to drug addiction. For your own sake, don’t buy it.

Drug treatment center programs that work are those which address the individual needs of drug treatment center patients. Period. Drug treatment center care that doesn’t recognize you for who you are…that doesn’t recognize your fundamental uniqueness…isn’t worth your time. Drug treatment center healing is too important to settle for anything less.

So sure, by all means…explore all of your drug treatment options. For your own sake, though, do your homework before you make a final decision. Drug treatment center recovery can’t happen unless you a find a drug treatment center that’s thoroughly and steadfastly committed to working for you. With so much to lose, and so much more to win, you can’t afford the alternative.

The Secret of Successful Drug Rehabs

Saturday, June 30th, 2007

Drug rehabs are only as successful as their patients allow them to be. That might seem counterintuitive, given how much emphasis people put on the central importance of drug rehabs in the healing process…but it’s the truth. Drug rehabs and drug rehab programs are and must be driven by patients: by recovering addicts who are ultimately responsible for their own healing. That’s just the way drug rehab works.

Drug rehabs, of course, are hardly free of struggle, or of hardship. Drug rehabs, as should perhaps be expected, are most successful when patients are willing to sacrifice to make sobriety real; that rehab patient who gets better is more often than not the one who pledges himself to the fight, regardless of the obstacles encountered along the way. With so much to lose, after all, no rehab patient can afford not win.

It bears noting here too that every journey has got to start with a first step. Drug rehabs can’t do anything for patients who don’t seek out drug treatment. If you or someone you care about is a victim of addiction, you’ve got to get help now, today. Some things, after all, are too important to leave until tomorrow.

When push comes to shove, Alcohol Rehab is the answer

Friday, June 29th, 2007

Exclusive alcohol rehab is, when push comes to shove, the best chance you have to get sober. Exclusive alcohol rehab is more effective than ordinary alcohol rehab, for the simple reason that it’s the better: staffed by more competent caregivers, situated in more amenable facilities. Exclusive alcohol rehab works, simply put, because exclusive alcohol rehab is exactly what it says it is: exclusive, with the obvious corollary it provides a premium service to a select group of patients.

Is exclusive alcohol rehab cheap? No, of course not. The most valuable things rarely are. Exclusive rehab will put you out a pretty penny…but let’s be honest here: What could ever be more worth it? Exclusive alcohol rehab programs give patients a second chance in life: a chance to rediscover the world as they used to know it, and themselves as they used to be. In the end, it’s hard to imagine how anyone could ever put a price tag on that.

Exclusive rehab can work for you: help you get well, help you get healed. That’s all you really need to know. Now, for your own sake, you’ve got to make the right decision. I promise you won’t regret it.

Addiction Treatment Isn’t for Sissies

Friday, June 29th, 2007

Addiction treatment isn’t for sissies. Addiction treatment isn’t for cowards, or wafflers, or anyone who doesn’t have the balls to stand and fight when the going gets tough. Addiction treatment is hard; that’s just the way. No addict gets sober without a struggle, without suffering a little along the way. If you think addiction treatment is going to be easy, you’re in for a very rude wake-up call. And if you really want to get healed, you don’t have any choice but to knuckle down.

For the record, I hated addiction treatment. Hated it. Every day, every hour, every minute: Hated it. Wished it was over. Wanted to go home and never come back. Would have rather been anywere…ANYWHERE…but an addiction treatment center.

But I stayed. And addiction treatment worked, for me. And it has made all the difference in the world.

So no, addiction treatment isn’t for sissies. Addiction treatment is hard. More importantly, though, addiction treatment is worth it: more worth it than you could ever imagine. Don’t let another day go by without finding that out for yourself.

Drug Rehab gives addicts the control they lost

Friday, June 29th, 2007

Drug rehab saved my life. It can save yours too. Successful drug rehab is that which gives addicts control over themselves, and over their Need; successful drug rehab is that which helps addicts rediscover the world they used to know, before addiction came and tore it all to pieces. Drug rehab gave me a second chance in life. It’ll do the same thing for you…if you have the guts to make it work.

Successful drug rehab, remember, can’t happen unless you want it to. You’ve got to take the first step: You’ve got to admit that you have a problem, and that you can’t solve it by yourself; you’ve got to find the strength to enroll in a drug rehab center, because no one else can ever do it for you. Sure, drug rehab really can work for you…but only if you work for drug rehab. Short of that, you can’t ever expect to get sober for good.

Drug rehab saved my life: that’s the God’s-honest truth. If it hadn’t been for drug rehab, I wouldn’t be here, today, begging you to make the right decision. Drug rehab saved my life. It’ll save yours too. Let today be the day you start learning that for yourself.

How to beat an eating disorder

Thursday, June 28th, 2007

An eating disorder never dies easy. Eating disorders, in fact, can only be eradicated by virtue of intensive clinical treatment: by virtue of the kind of care that you can’t get outside of an eating disorder treatment center. Eating disorder victims are sick. To get better, they need professional medical help. In the end, anything less just won’t cut it.

An eating disorder, as should perhaps go without saying, is an overwhelmingly serious problem. If you’re here, you already know the truth: You know that eating disorders wreak enormous damage on the lives of eating disorder victims. For your own sake, for the sake of the people who care about…don’t wait another day to start getting help.

Remember: Eating disorder treatment can only work if you let it. Eating disorder healing can only start when you walk through the doors of an eating disorder treatment facility: when you admit that you have a problem, and that you can’t fix it on your own. Eating disorder recovery, in the end, is and can only be a product of the most resolute personal courage. Here’s hoping you have the strength to do what you must.

Why Rehab matters

Thursday, June 28th, 2007

Rehabs only matter insofar as they help addicts get better. That’s the bottom line here, the only point that could ever really be important. Rehabs have got to be about healing. Some things are too important not to get exactly right; some journeys are too important for the cutting of corners. If rehabs are going to heal rehab patients, nothing…not money, not time, not anything…can be allowed to detract from the central mission.

Luxury rehabs aren’t cheap. But don’t kid yourself: They’re worth it. Worth it, really, because you’re worth it, because you…your future, your life…are more valuable than any dollar figure. Luxury rehabs that work are luxury rehabs that help patients rediscover themselves, and all the hope and joy and emotional vitality that make life worth living in the first place. No one can put a price tag on that. Please, for your own sake, have enough sense to see the big picture, to understand that your life…you life…is more than what’s in your wallet.

Luxury rehabs really do help patients get healed. Make today the day you start finding that out for yourself.

The Skinny on Drug Treatment Centers

Thursday, June 28th, 2007

Drug treatment centers can only be as successful as the programs they offer. Sure, posh surroundings are a plus…and it’s always nice to spend three months at the beach…but all those details only amount to window dressing if they aren’t backed by real substance. Luxury drug treatment centers work because of their philosophies and metholdogies. Anyone who tells you otherwise just doesn’t get it.

The rub is here is that you can’t allow yourself to be seduced by glitzy advertisements and exotic locales. Drug treatment centers have got to be about results, in the end; they’ve got to help patients get sober and stay sober, because such healing is the only end that could ever justify drug treatment in the first place. So please, for your own sake: Do your homework. Learn what you need to learn about drug treatment centers: how they work, what makes them successful. If you don’t, you run the risk of basing your drug treatment center decision on the wrong set of criteria. With so much on the line, that’s a mistake you can’t afford to make.

Alcohol Rehabilitation That Works

Wednesday, June 27th, 2007

Alcohol rehabilitation only works if you want it to. Alcohol rehabilitation is not, after all, a passive activity: It isn’t the kind of thing that happens on its own, without alcohol rehabilitation patients playing active roles in the healing process. The truth, whether it’s comforting or not, is that the day you check into an alcohol rehabilitation clinic is the day you take your destiny into your own hands. What do you with it, in the end, has got to be up to you.

Alcohol rehabilitation patients who get better in alcohol rehabilitation centers are more often than not the ones who know what to expect: who understand what’s coming, and who have a sense of what they’ll need to do to overcome the obstacles they’ll encounter along the way. Again, alcohol rehabilitation is the kind of fight you’ve ultimately got to win for yourself. And no one…no one…ever won a battle that he approached with his eyes closed.

The good news here? Alcohol rehabilitation works for patients who commit themselves to it. You really can get better, you really can get back to living life as you used to know it…but only if you’re willing to struggle and suffer and sacrifice along the way. Please, for your own sake, make the right decision. Nothing you do will ever be more important.

The Price of Prescription Drug Addiction

Wednesday, June 27th, 2007

Prescription drug addiction broke my mother’s heart. That’s the hardest thing to admit, now, with the hindsight of prescription drug recovery. Prescription drug addiction broke my mother’s heart. My prescription drug addiction broke my mother’s heart. She forgave me, of course; in fact, I can’t say as she was ever mad in the first place. She was just disappointed, is all: in herself more than in me. Whatever I said, no matter how many times I told her it wasn’t her fault: She blamed herself. Always. In all ways. For as long as God saw fit to let her walk His Earth.

Prescription drug addiction, as you might expect, is a hideous disease. It destroys everything it touches: Your career. Your love life. Your family. Prescription drug addiction broke my mother’s heart. And not a day goes by I don’t wish there was a way to make it up to her.

For your own sake, don’t wait to get help. Don’t pretend you don’t have a problem. You owe yourself the truth…to say nothing of what you owe your mother.
