What doesn’t kill me will only make me stronger-Drug Treatment
I thought I could beat meth on my own. That’s what I told people, anyway: that I could quit meth whenever I wanted. People who told me I had a meth problem…who told me I needed drug treatment…were full of it. Or so I thought. And then I tried to quit meth by myself, outside of a private drug treatment center. And that was the end of that fantasy.
I made it a week, the first time I tried to get sober. The second time I made it three days. That’s when I knew I needed help, from exclusive drug treatment professionals who knew what was at stake, and who could give me all the care I needed. I thought I was tough. I wasn’t. I thought I was in control. I wasn’t.
The plain fact of the matter is that no one beats drug addiction without drug treatment: not you, not me, not anyone. Please, for your own sake, learn from my example. Don’t try to play the hero. Don’t try to go it alone. Have the courage to enroll in a private drug rehab center. There is, in the end, no other way out the darkness.
