Drug treatment can’t do anything for you if you won’t let it. Drug treatment doctors aren’t magicians, after all; they can’t heal you against your will, or take you anywhere you won’t go by yourself. Drug treatment, in the end, is a function of your will, and your energy. Drug recovery, simply stated, is and can only be what you make of it. Make no mistake: The way is hard. Drug treatment that works ultimately tests even the strongest will, and the fiercest resolve. Drug rehab that works is drug treatment that saves your life. In the end, it’s hard to imagine how anything could ever be more important than that.
